Greenpoint

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The riverfront, a meeting point between water and it’s rugged edge, sets the tone for this residential development project. A palette of whites and neutrals speaks to the incandescence of light on the water while diaphanous planes and atmospheric volumes give shape to the almost tangible quality of the waterfront air. Wood and limestone, green finishes, and botanical patterns provide an additional counterpoint, by bridging interior occupants to the lawns and garden beds that dance across the nearby park. One material often surrounds another, moreover, to recall how the park is ensconced by architecture. Considered alongside amenity spaces that invite relaxed self-expression as well as genuine social connection, Workstead’s design creates an emotional connection between the building’s residents and the burgeoning neighborhood.
