Estelle

Inside a 1,200-square-foot storefront tracing Charleston’s historic King Street, Workstead has conceived the first freestanding retail store for Estelle Colored Glass.  Workstead removed existing partition walls from the 1980s-era interior to reveal a unique octagonal expression in its entry room, which is now framed in marquetry flooring and integrated product shelving finished with museum-like quality. In addition to lining the perimeter with similar displays in the flagship’s main room, Workstead has activated this welcoming space with bar and lounge areas that help customers imagine Estelle glassware in their day-to-day lives. A unique alcove features a special dining vignette that not only supports this visualization, but also introduces guests to the personal inspirations that propelled entrepreneur Stephanie Hall to launch the brand.
